Vedantasutram

by Narayana Guru

Summary

Traced out from the notebooks of the Guru's disciple Govindan Asan. Guru used to teach Vēdānta to his disciples while at Aruvippuram and Sivagiri. This work must have been written as a part of this process. It is a completely revised restatement of Vedanta in the Sutra (aphorism) style. This one work raises him to the status of a sutrakara equal to Badarayana.
