എല്ലാവരുമാത്മസഹോദരരെ-
ന്നല്ലേ പറയേണ്ടതിതോര്‍ക്കുകില്‍ നാം?
കൊല്ലുന്നതുമെങ്ങനെ ജീവികളെ-
ത്തെല്ലും കൃപയറ്റു ഭുജിക്കയതും.

Transliteration
Ellāvarumātmasahōdarare-
nnallē paṟayēṇṭatitōr‍kkukil‍ nāṃ?
Kollunnatumeṅṅane jīvikaḷe-
ttelluṃ kr̥payaṟṟu bhujikkayatuṃ.

Meaning
All are of one self-fraternity
Such being the dictum to avow
How could we kill living beings,
And eat them without any mercy?
