Summary

This Sanskrit work in the Mattēbhaṁ metre is another of the earliest works around 1884.) The Envoy indicates that this was written as asked by the guru named "child" or Śisu. Who this guru is not clear. One claim is that this guru is Caṭṭaṁpi Svāmi whose original name was Kuññan Pillai. "Kuññan" means "child". Another opinion holds that this guru is Kummampiḷḷi Raman Pillai who was also known as Bālaraman, the word bāla meaning "child”.
